It looks like the outside of your tire is worn a full 1/8th of an inch more than the inside, right along a straight cut line. O r is that an optical illusion?

This is what I get for autocrossing on all-season tires with a zero-camber alignment...
They’re near minimum tread depth anyway so this nail (screw? bolt?) is actually pretty well-timed.

It’s an extra tread line about to reveal itself, I think .
No, really. Some tires have extra tread lines so that when the tread wears down and water bearing volume in the contact patch goes down, it opens up an additional groove or several.

General Tire has this on some tires. It initially says Replacement Tire Monitor, and wears down to Replace Tire.
